27th annual Komen South Florida Race for the Cure at the Meyer Amphitheater.
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and the Susan G. Komen South Florida Foundation is sounding the alarm for women to get checked.
“Spreading the word about getting yourself checked and having a routine mammogram can help save a life”, Board President Jill Weiss explained, “This October its’ important for all of us to get our communities, organizations and families involved”.
The team is already preparing for the 27th annual Komen South Florida Race for the Cure at the Meyer Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach. This year, leading up to the Race the organization will bring together survivors and supporters, including “Downtowns Go Pink” on October 26th in Delray Beach, West Palm Beach and Stuart. Stores and restaurants in each city’s downtown will offer special discounts and items to help raise funds for the affiliate during October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness Month to encourage individuals and teams to register for the Race for the Cure.
