What is a moment of change? Many individuals in the grip of co-occurring disorders experience breakthroughs that change their lives, whether through treatment, intervention, 12-Step or other means. We want to increase the instances of these breakthroughs by combining our knowledge, efforts and innovation at the Moments of Change conference.
Patients aren’t the only ones who will experience breakthroughs as a result of behavioral healthcare’s premier educational event; conference participants will have revelations about the future of the treatment industry. Attendees will experience renewed passion for the lifesaving work they do in treating patients with addiction and mental health conditions. Companies will discover how to run their businesses more efficiently, finding ways to work together with others and develop new relationships, ultimately giving patients more appropriate treatment options.
In an enlightening exploration of treatment modalities and intervention, participants will learn how to work with even the most resistant patients and their families (who often need help themselves!). Our goal at this renowned conference is to make sure that real moments of change are frequent and never out of reach.

The 4th annual Dine Around Hobe Sound- Progressive Dinner Party is on Saturday, October 1st, from 5:30pm to 10:00pm. The Hobe Sound Chamber promises an amazing evening of extraordinary dining, camaraderie and fun. This event is co-sponsored in part by “Executive Chefs,” Eric & Laura Wesel owners of Jupiter Island Pools.
The old fashion Progressive Dinner begins at the Hobe Sound Golf Club with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and mingling sponsored by Marlene Filer for Celebrities Fore Kids. If you didn’t win the grand prize dinner party last year, have no worries. There will be a repeat rendition of the popular “balloon bust” where you can win special gifts. From there the guests will separate and proceed to one of ten homes of “celebrity chefs” who will host a special, themed dinner, each with unique cuisine as the main course. The 20th Annual Dunn’s Run, held on Sunday, October 2nd, 2016 benefiting The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County is quickly approaching. The Dunn’s Run has earned its reputation as the race that signifies the start of the running season, attracting over 2,000 runners, walkers and participants.
The course runs along the beach and is stroller friendly! In addition to the 5K run/walk we also offer a 5 mile run and a kids fun run for ages 6 and younger. With interactive games, vendor booths and entertainment, Dunn’s Run is truly a family oriented event. Whether you choose to walk or run, you will be making a positive impact in a child’s life. 3rd Annual South Florida “Breast Cancer Awareness Month” cycling event supporting The Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative will be featuring two distance group rides (50K and 100K), raffle prizes, food and great fun! There will be 3 groups led out in staggered increments beginning at 7:30am.
This is a local fundraiser event wherein 100% of all donations will be directed to The Women’s Breast & Heart Initiative(WBHI), a local 501(c)(3) non-profit. There is NO advance registration and NO minimum fundraising requirements. Donations are voluntary and very much appreciated. Support and contributions enables WBHI to provide breast health education, community outreach and access to free mammograms, particularly to the underserved and uninsured population. With one in every eight women in the U.S. being diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, most people have a close friend or family member affected by the disease. The goal of this cycling event is not only to raise funds for education, screening and community outreach, but to unite the local cycling community in the effort to raise awareness of the importance of breast health in a fun, supportive environment.
