Bring your little ones to the Science Center for a fun-filled event just for them! This day includes age-appropriate Science Crafts, Storytelling, Planetarium Show, Discovery Center exploration, live entertainment by Patty Shukla, giveaways and much more! Geared toward children 5 and under and their parents/guardians. Lunch will be available for purchase at our WT café. Cost: $7 adults, FREE for children 5 and under and free for Science Center members.

FREE eye screenings for your children by the For Eye Care Foundation and the Lions Club. Stop by their booth with your children and receive a free eye screening that may save your child’s eyesight.

A Child Life Specialist from Jupiter Medical Center will also be on-site with an adorable Teddy Bear Clinic! Kids will have a chance to dress up like a doctor and learn about check-ups with Teddy Bear patients.

“Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs): Impact On Mental Health”

Audience: Any professional working with children and adults

Child maltreatment and trauma, especially toxic stress, impacts every aspect of a child’s functioning including cognitive, emotional, behavioral, social and physical development.
Adverse experiences in childhood, in the absence of buggering relationships, are at the root of many physical and emotional health challenges throughout the lifetime. The ACE study is one of the largest studies conducted to assess the association between childhood trauma and later-life health and well-being. This presentation will provide a:
-Definition of toxic stress, trauma and its impact on the developing brain.
-Overview of the ACE study including the risk factors.
-The importance of creating trauma-informed and resilient based interventions, practices and communities based on the findings of the ACES research.
-Impact and importance of early intervention.

Lip Sync Battle Boca Raton

At Loggerhead Marinelife Center, ocean conservation never goes out of style! That’s why on August 25 from 6 to 8 p.m., the Grand Court at The Gardens Mall will become an extravagant world of couture, compassion and personal style at #LMCFashBash. This glamorous annual event – powered by fashion, champagne and Instagram – pays tribute to South Florida’s favorite flippered friend, the sea turtle.

Hosted by Loggerhead Marinelife Center and The Gardens Mall, the two-hour social highlight will feature local Palm Beach County personalities modeling the season’s latest designs by Lilly Pulitzer, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tommy Bahama and more. All proceeds will benefit Loggerhead Marinelife Center.

The Australian Pink Floyd – The Best of the Best Tour

After three years of touring the world with album themed tours, The Australian Pink Floyd Show brings “The Best of the Best Tour” to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Thursday, August 25, at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 29, at 10 a.m. Fans will have access to presale tickets beginning Thursday, April 28, at 10 a.m. through Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Performing the music of Pink Floyd with note for note perfection, this critically acclaimed tribute show has been astonishing audiences worldwide.
